Three dancers from Rince Nua compete as soloists at the 2017 CRN World Open Irish Dancing Championships in Killarney, Ireland

Three dancers from Rince Nua compete as soloists at the 2017 CRN World Open Irish Dancing Championships in Killarney, Ireland from June 22 through June 25.

Rince Nua soloists included: Genevieve Simpson,12, of Wayzata who was awarded 17th place in the Under 13 age category; Elizabeth Simpson, 15, of Wayzata; and Irelandrose Langer, 17, of Saint Michael who placed 11th in the Under 17 age category.

During the competition, the dancers each danced three solo dances, with their combined score determining their overall placement for their age group.

This was the second consecutive World Championships for Genevieve and Elizabeth who both placed 10th in their age groups in 2016, and the fourth consecutive World Championships for Irelandrose who tied for 10th in 2014 and placed 10th in 2016.
