Rince Nua dancers receive awards in both solo and team competitions at the North American Irish Dance Championships in Orlando

Team Rince Nua captured second place in the Under 15 Freestyle Championship at the CRN North American Irish Dance Championships held Feb 18-20 in Orlando, Florida, qualifying them for the World Irish Dance Championships in Killarney, Ireland in June 2017.

Rince Nua also achieved fourth place in the U16 Ceili Championship, where they danced a traditional eight-hand dance called “High-Cauled Cap”

Two Rince Nua dancers, Emaliah Danner and Sophia Novitskiy, competed in their first-ever CRN Nationals.

All fifteen Rince Nua dancers in attendance took home medals in either their solo dance competitions, award competitions, or solo championship.

Rince Nua dancers who placed in Solo Championships were:

 

  • Lola Pankake – Under 11, 5th place
  • Genevieve Simpson – Under 13, 4th place
  • Ayva Pankake – Under 13, 13th place
  • Elizabeth Simpson – Under 15, 9th place
  • Irelandrose Langer – Under 17, 7th place
